ABOUT US
Our story begins in the late 1960’s, when founder and owner Sean Murray, who had previously
worked as manager for Cash’s in the Corner House in Skibbereen, decided to go into business
himself and opened a new shop at 5, Main Street, Skibbereen. Sean together with his wife
Betsy, provided a new shopping experience to the people of West Cork, supplying clothes for
men, women and children of all ages.
The business grew steadily over the following years, and in 1980 it expanded up into the first
floor with new ladies’ and household departments which allowed the menswear and suit-hire
departments expand to cover the entire ground floor. The business has undergone a number of
renovations over the years, ensuring that the store is always bright, fresh and modern and up-
to-date.
Sean Murray junior together his wife Maria and dedicated staff are passionately committed to
providing all our customers with genuine and honest customer service. We believe the
customer comes first and we want you to feel a little bit of the ‘Murray Magic’ when you shop
with us.
